Crawford Notch

Crawford Notch is a dramatic notch in the center of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, just to the west of the southern Presidentials. The notch is named for Abel Crawford who settled in the notch in the 1790s. Route 302 winds through the notch between Bartlett and Twin Mountain.
